Organisation and operations - Doctoral School Life Science Complexity - ED515

The DS follows the rules stipulated in the Ministerial Decree of 25 May 2016. It offers doctoral students scientific training through research activities within hosting teams, supplemented by teaching units.
The Scientific Committee of the DS is responsible for defining the scientific policy guidelines and identifying the Doctoral School’s main educational options. The Executive Office implements the policy with the director. An Educational team is responsible for the organization of the training offer as well as the follow-up of the thesis committees and doctoral defences. Doctoral student representatives sit on the Scientific Committee. There is also an association of DS doctoral students, Doc & Co (contact: representants.cdv@gmail.com),), through which all doctoral students wanting to do so can participate in the everyday activities of the DS and specifically in the implementation of various educational initiatives (Orientation Day, Science Day).
Once a year, the hosting teams are invited to attend a general meeting to inform them about the DS’s general policy, its means of operation and any news items.
